Job Description
We are currently looking for a Construction Inspector who is familiar with standard construction practices, methods, materials, and equipment. Preferably a focus on government projects with civil work. This role involves inspecting work to ensure compliance with regulatory standards as well as project specifications. You will also perform tests or gather test samples to verify the quality of materials being used for each project. Degree in engineering or construction management preferred, or equivalent experience working on large commercial and residential construction projects. You should also have a valid driver’s license, as your duties will require you to visit and evaluate various worksites. Projects are throughout the United States and require travel with potential relocation. Per Diem is provided depending on location.
Construction Inspector Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications
- Review plans to identify potential violations
- Document inspections and report any issues
- Determine the quality of materials being used through testing
- Run weekly project meetings
Construction Inspector Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management (preferred)
- Residential or commercial construction experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Attention to detail
- Able to communicate issues/requirements between owner and contractor
Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented comptroller to maintain and strengthen our company’s internal controls. The comptroller will ensure the quality of financial transactions and reporting, develop our financial well-being, and play a leading role in financial decision-making. You will provide senior management with strategic financial input, and oversee the overall accounting processes. You will ensure accuracy in all our financial activities.
To ensure success you need to give management sound advice and manage accounting activities with the aim of visibly reducing costs. Top candidates are confident, analytical, and positive.
Comptroller Responsibilities:
- Developing and forecasting budgets under the direction of the President.
- Implementing finance and accounting policies and procedures.
- Invoice entry for Accounts Payable
- Process Accounts Receivable receipts
- Cooperating with business units and support functions across the company.
- Ensuring prompt and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Preparing timely financial statements.
- Reporting variances.
- Ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements.
- Perform all duties relating to employee benefits
- Process bi-weekly payroll
Comptroller Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance preferred
- 5+ years related work experience in job costing.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Outstanding knowledge and understanding of applicable laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to provide financial projections.
